John Fahey - The Great Santa Barbara Oil Slick

not to use a mu-ism but there are so many 10/10 moments on this thing. the slowdown in Dance of the Inhabitants, the drop in When the Springtime Comes Again, Fahey blowing his nose and you can hear he's kind of nervous like what if the audience doesn't like his gorgeous songs because he had to blow his nose, just in general the way that he stumbles over the titles of his songs when he announces them. View East from the BO Railroad Viaduct sounds like how it feels to be truly warm in the winter. Magruder Park is just astonishing from the second Fahey starts talking. anyway yeah listen to it.
